Job Title: Junior High Director
Report to: Executive Pastor of Student Ministries
Position Status: Full-time
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Summary of Position: The Junior High Director provides leadership and spiritual shepherding for Cornerstone’s ministry to Junior High students and their families. They should develop vision and infrastructure for this area that is in keeping with the churches ministry strategies and philosophy. They should partner with families, functioning as a resource and equipping parents to be the spiritual leaders of their homes leading their own students towards spiritual maturity. They should lead by example, and cultivate a positive spirit throughout the church family. They should represent Christ and His church well in the community at large. They should be a team player and follow the biblical model of sacrifice by being willing to put the needs of others in front of their own. In all of their actions, they should be positive and supportive of the Core Values and the Vision of our church.
Personal Life:
- Model the qualifications of an elder (1 Tim 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4).
- Model biblical community in his relationships (Matt 5:23-24, Matt 18:15-17, Eph 4:25-32).
- Model biblical family life before the body (Eph 5:22-6:4).
- Model biblical integrity in all things (1 Tim 6:11-12).
Job Requirements:
- 3 years full time ministry experience (experience in a church of 1,000 or more preferred)
- A successful track record of leading a Junior High Ministry of over 100.
- As a minimum applicants should have an earned Bachelor’s Degree in an area of concentration that has equipped them for vocational ministry.
- Called to work with Junior High students, not using their position as a stepping stone to another ministry position.
- Able to partner with the parents and add value to the families of Junior High students.
- Work with the lead and adult volunteer team: recruit, assimilate, train, and empower adults to be leaders in the Junior High Ministry. They should be shepherd of shepherds.
- Applicants should have strengths in the following areas: leadership, administration, teaching, as well as strong relational abilities.
- Articulate in writing their philosophy of ministry and the strategy and steps that properly reflect that philosophy. Applicants should be able to demonstrate how they have already accomplished this in their current or past ministry settings.
- Engage as a member of the Student Ministries Team, aiding and developing and implementing a strategic ministry approach to adolescent spiritual development and their families.
- Align with the vision, values, and doctrinal statement of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Enlist, equip, and empower a team of volunteers to own and lead the Junior High Ministry and invest in the lives of Junior High students
- Manage, invest in, develop, and coach a paid staff team
- Develop Student Leadership within the Junior High Ministry in which students are learning to be the church and invest in people around them.
- Develop strategic initiatives to gain access to and earn the right to be heard on local Junior High campuses
Administration:
- Develop and execute an annual calendar of environments and events for the Junior High Ministry that works in symmetry with the overall Student Ministry, and helps accomplish the vision and goals of the ministry. This would include, but not be limited to, both on going large group and small group environments, mission trips, retreats, and outreach events.
Relationships:
- Successfully develop and nurture relationships with local Junior High Faculty and Staff, students, volunteers, and the paid staff of the church.
Teaching:
- Serve as the primary teaching pastor for this area of ministry within the church
- Communicate the Gospel and biblical principles in a creative and culturally relevant manner to Junior High Students

Adult Ministry Administrative Assistant
Job Title:Adult Ministry Administrative Assistant
Report To:Adult Pastor
Position Status:Part-Time

Summary of Position:This position provides support to the Adult Pastor & the Adult Ministry Team. This position requires a broad range of computer and administrative duties. This position also requires someone who is detailed oriented, with strong organizational skills and is able to function with interruption and perform well in a multi-task environment.
This person should lead by example and cultivate a positive spirit throughout the church family. They should represent Christ and His church well in the community at large. They should be a team player and follow the biblical model of sacrifice by being willing to put the needs of others in front of their own. In all of their actions, they should be positive and supportive of the Core Values and the vision of our church.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- -As with any position at Cornerstone, being employed with a church means that each employee is part of the team, which means we all pull together during crisis times, special events, and when visible projects need to be done. Duties and responsibilities for this job are subject to change at various times, and flexibility is a must.
- -General administrative responsibilities include:
- -Demonstrating a Proficiency in Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, internet, email, etc.)
- -Tracking to-do’s and budgets
- -Answering Phone Calls for Adult Ministry, maintaining calendar, to-do lists, and preparing for meetings
- -Help Adult Team with reconciliation & tracking of expenses
- -Making photo copies and general filing
- -Maintain accurate and updated Fellowship One contacts and notes
- -Coordinate and work with ministry volunteers as needed
- -Maintaining the ministries calendar and reservation system (ServiceU)
- -Accounting Support
- -Assist the Adult Team in supporting the ministries of Cornerstone and the ministry staff
- -We expect all Cornerstone employees to intentionally grow in their Christian faith and exhibit Christian character, demonstrated by their attitude, appearance and conduct.
