Why give money to the church?

• It’s "the right thing to do"?
• A good tax write-off?
• God needs it?
• The church expects it?

 

Before explaining what to write on your check or how to give online, it’s far more important that you know why we encourage you to give to God by giving to the church. To put it simply, it’s what God says to do. He tells us in the Bible that He wants us to give regularly, generously, and sacrificially out of all He gives us - all as part of our worship of Him.

Not because God needs what we have. But because we need to give it. What we do with what we have directs our heart. Giving to God reminds us that He has given us everything we have, and can be counted on to meet every need we will ever have. Giving something back to Him is an expression of gratitude and worship.

Cornerstone has tried to make giving easy for you with many options:

On the Weekend

• Checks & Cash
  • An offering is received at each of our weekend services. You can place either checks or cash into the offering basket as it passes by, or in one of the towers in the back of the auditorium. If you wish to receive contribution tax credit for your cash donations please write your full name and address on your giving envelope.
• Giving Kiosks
  • Giving Kiosks are available in the main lobby.
  • You may use a credit or debit card (Visa or Mastercard) to make a gift.
  • Please note that paper checks may be processed electronically

Bill Pay

• Set Cornerstone up in your bank's billpay system with the following information:
  • Cornerstone Christian Fellowship

    Chandler, AZ 85225
• Remember to complete the "memo line" of the billpay setup to indicate the fund(s) and corresponding amount.

This Web Site

• Quickly and easily set up a one-time or recurring gift through Cornerstone’s secure account access. By creating an account you will have access to schedule or change your giving and view your giving history.
• You may use a credit or debit card, or have an amount drawn directly from your checking account using eCheck.

• We welcome you to mail your contributions directly to our main office:

Stock Donations

• If you would like to make a stock gift by electronic transfer, please give your broker the following information:

• In order for us to give you proper credit for your contribution, please notify us of the number of shares and the name of the stock(s) that you are transferring along with a fund designation.
